Florence Bridge Volunteers
Florence Bridge Volunteers (FBV) is a group of advocates for public education in Siuslaw Schools. Established by Caroline Estill in 2005, FBV has three goals: to support teachers, fund educational programs and increase volunteerism in our schools.
Textbook Fund
In response to teacher requests for textbooks, FBV established a three-year fund drive. The Textbook Fund is administered by the Western Lane Community Foundation and all donations are used to purchase student edition textbooks for Siuslaw K-12 schools; Language Arts in 2007, Health in 2008 and Math textbooks in 2009.
Volunteers in Siuslaw Schools
To increase volunteerism, FBV strives to train and nurture community volunteers in our schools. Each school has a volunteer-coordinator and weekly, monthly or annual volunteer opportunities.

The FBV community website is maintained to enhance awareness, increase involvement and boost volunteerism in our schools. The site's costs are donated by two generous benefactors. Host and domain name are supplied by Dean & Sybil Calhoun of Safe Harbor Real Estate and the site's content is beautifully maintained by webmaster Susan Canavarro.
